Introducing Rumah Cerdas Berbudi Luhur

This is my first post about RCBL, one of my great experience of teaching students and child om remote area. I've been joining this activities on september 2012. Please watch this documented video.

                               

RCBL stands for Rumah Cerdas Berbudi Luhur (Intelligent Home Virtuous). It is a public service program that engages the whole civitas Academica of Budi Luhur Cakti Education Foundation.  This Program inspired by the ideals of the founders of the Foundation Mr. Drs. HS. Djaetun  to establish a library in the village to support science and literature sources affordability for people who are less able to access book as a source of information and knowledge. RCBL Program finally realized with the establishment of TBM (Taman Baca Masyarakat) RCBL at Madurejo village, Prambanan, Sleman District, Yogyakarta. As executor of the RCBL Program, Budi Luhur Foundation Cakti involves selected students from various faculties at the University and College Secretary of Budi Luhur. Students who participate in the program of RCBL are selected through RCBL KKN scholarship program.

In February 2012, a team consisting of 7 students managed to collect 2000 book for TBM RCBL. On September, this activity was followed by second team consisting of 8 students, which carried out the program continued from the first team. The second team attempted to not only increase interest in reading and community visits to TBM RCBL, but also empowers TBM RCBL as a center of academic and non-academic activities as well as a place to share knowledge soft skills, arts, sport and culture for the community, particularly children.  Around 50 children from various elementary and early childhood visits TBM RCBL every day and with great enthusiasm attend activities organized by the team RCBL.

During the program ​​team RCBL has done various community service activities such as educational activities, simple soft skills training and activities of arts, culture and sports. At the closing of event, rcbl team also held a “Gebyar Desa “. This event  include quiz contest for elementary, drawing, coloring, art and cultural performances, bazzar, free medical support and other community celebrations. The event was run successfully and strongly supported and enthused by the local community.

RCBL programs that have been implemented continuously during two periods has proven to increase the interest in reading and learning of children in Madurejo. Concern and Cooperation of all people are very needed to keep RCBL program’s continue.

Rumah Cerdas Berbudi Luhur

Education is a factor that greatly determines the quality of human resources, because education plays a role in shaping the mindset of someone in responding to and solving his problems. Budi Luhur Cakti Foundation is one of the educational institutions that participate actively in the development of science for the benefit of society, therefore Budi Luhur Cakti Foundation launched a program called RCBL.
 

Author as a student involved as the program implementer RCBL 2 by doing activities such as Field Work (CCN) for 2 weeks. This activity is included in the activities of Field Work Practice (CTF) and the scholarships are intended for students who are selected based on the selection of administrative files, GPA, essay and interview. The students who attend the program are required to write an essay about what to do if elected to work directly in the community in the Second RCBL program. Here are the names of the students receiving scholarships CTF / CCN in the team RCBL 2 for the second program.
 

In the implementation of the program RCBL 2, the team took the theme "Sharing Creativity Building Dreams". The author intends to open windows of science and horizon of TBM visitors, especially children, so they are motivated to read, learn and achieve a better life to spur creativity. RCBL Team 2 as the second team , trying to not only increase interest in reading and a visit to the TBM RCBL community, but also empowers the TBM RCBL as a center of academic and non-academic activities as well as a place to share knowledge soft skills, art activities, sport and culture, for the community, especially children. Activities are including: Education Activities, Soft skill development activities, Sport and Culture Activities and the Closing Event “Gebyar Desa”.

IT On The Roof

KUSI (Kelas Unggulan Sistem Informasi) UBL mengadakan event rutin berupa diskusi umum, maupun seminar yang digelar setiap hari Kamis, malam Jumat setiap bulannya di roof top Suhannah Building UBL. 

Malam Jumat kemarin, saya berkesempatan mengikuti acara ini, dengan tema Technopreneur. Acara di mulai pukul setengah 5 sore dengan pembicara Ahmad Fatih Hadi S, Kom yang merupakan founder dan developer Tandif, sebuah   layanan buatan lokal yang menyedikan fasilitas filter serta moderasi konten digital secara otomatis. Kebetulan, Kak Ahmad Fatih  merupakan Alumnus UBL.

Dengan pemandangan khas perkotaan yang fantastis dari atas lantai tertinggi gedung UBL, acara ini sukses digelar. Technopreneur, merupakan istilah baru yang mulai trend di masyarakat kawasan asia, sebagai efek dari perkembangan teknologi informasi saat ini. Technopreneur mengandung makna, wirausaha berbasis teknologi. Mahasiswa dimotivasi untuk tidak takut berinovasi, dan bermimpi. Dari ide-ide sederhana, mahasiswa berkesempatan menciptakan berbagai penemuan hebat, asalkan dilandasi dengan tindakan yang matang. Dream, action, make it happen.

Konsep Penerapan GCG dalam Pembahasan Kasus PT. Kereta Api Indonesia

Kasus PT. KAI bermuara pada perbedaan pandangan antara Manajemen dan Komisaris, khususnya Komisaris yang merangkap sebagai Ketua Komite Audit dimana Komisaris tersebut menolak menyetujui dan menandatangani laporan keuangan yang telah diaudit oleh Auditor Eksternal. Dan Komisaris meminta untuk dilakukan audit ulang agar laporan keuangan dapat disajikan secara transparan dan sesuai dengan fakta yang ada.

Perbedaan pandangan antara Manajemen dan Komisaris bersumber pada perbedaan pendapat atas 4 (empat) hal, yaitu :

1. Masalah piutang PPN.

Piutang PPN per 31 Desember 2005 senilai Rp. 95,2 milyar, menurut Komite Audit harus dicadangkan penghapusannya pada tahun 2005 karena diragukan kolektibilitasnya, tetapi tidak dilakukan oleh manajemen dan tidak dikoreksi oleh auditor. Manajemen menganggap bahwa pemberian jasa yang dilakukannya tidak kena PPN, namun karena Dirjen Pajak menagih PPN atas jasa tersebut, PT. KAI menagih PPN tersebut kepada pelanggan. 

2. Masalah Beban Ditangguhkan yang berasal dari penurunan nilai persediaan.

Saldo beban yang ditangguhkan per 31 Desember 2005 sebesar Rp. 6 milyar yang merupakan penurunan nilai persediaan tahun 2002 yang belum diamortisasi, menurut Komite Audit harus dibebankan sekaligus pada tahun 2005 sebagai beban usaha. 

3. Masalah persediaan dalam perjalanan.

Berkaitan dengan pengalihan persediaan suku cadang Rp. 1,4 milyar yang dialihkan dari satu unit kerja ke unit kerja lainnya di lingkungan PT. KAI yang belum selesai proses akuntansinya per 31 Desember 2005, menurut Komite Audit seharusnya telah menjadi beban tahun 2005.

4. Masalah Bantuan Pemerintah Yang Belum Ditentukan Statusnya (BPYBDS) dan Penyertaan Modal Negara (PMN).

BPYBDS sebesar Rp. 674,5 milyar dan PMN sebesar Rp. 70 milyar yang dalam laporan audit digolongkan sebagai pos tersendiri di bawah hutang jangka panjang, menurut Komite Audit harus direklasifikasi menjadi kelompok ekuitas dalam neraca tahun buku 2005. 

Pertanyaan mendasar yang menjadi fokus perhatian bersama adalah apakah auditor eksternal telah menjalankan tugasnya sesuai standar-standar yang berlaku (PSAK dan SPAP)? Lebih jauh lagi apakah auditor eksternal telah berkomunikasi dengan Komite Audit, dan apakah komunikasi tersebut efektif ?

Sebelum menjawab pertanyaan tersebut, ada beberapa hal yang perlu diklarifikasi mengenai peran dan tanggung jawab Komisaris, beserta organnya Komite Audit dalam proses Good Ccorporate Governance di perusahaan, baik BUMN maupun swasta.

Menurut teori dan best practices dalam Good Corporate Governance, Dewan Komisaris dalam menjalankan peran dan tanggung jawabnya memiliki 3 fungsi, yaitu :

1. Advising. Memberi nasehat bagaimana seharusnya Direksi bersikap. Oleh sebab itu sebaiknya Dewan Komisaris terdiri dari beberapa latar belakang.

2. Protecting. Melindungi perusahaan dari sesuatu yang tidak diharapkan. Misalnya : memberikan argumentasi dan pendapat independen yang kuat atas sesuatu yang dapat merugikan perusahaan dan tidak sejalan dengan prinsip-prinsip GCG.

3. Supervising. Mengawasi pengelolaan perusahaan agar mampu menciptakan value yang optimal bagi stakeholders.

Peran vital yang dijalankan oleh Komite Audit adalah membantu Dewan Komisaris dalam 3 hal tersebut diatas, yaitu advising, supervising dan protecting (dengan cara memberikan analisis bagaimana memproteksi perusahaan). Hal terpenting yang harus dipahami adalah bahwa 

Komite Audit tidak memiliki suara untuk mengatasnamakan perusahaan sehingga tidak diperkenankan berbicara di luar perusahaan. Karena Komite Audit merupakan tools Dewan Komisaris dengan demikian yang berhak untuk berbicara adalah Dewan Komisaris. 

I Am Fine

There is a universal truth we all have to face, whether we want to or not: everything eventually ends. As much as I’ve looked forward to this day, I’ve always disliked endings. Last day of summer, the final chapter of a great book, parting ways with a close friend. But endings are inevitable. Leaves fall, we close the book, you say good-bye. Today is one those days for us. Today we say good-bye to everything that was familiar, everything that was comfortable. We’re moving on. But just because we’re leaving and that hurts, there are some people who are so much a part of us, they’ll be with us no matter what. They are our solid ground, our North Star, and the small clear voices in our hearts that will be with us. Always. I hate that feeling when you randomly feel depressed. There is no warning, no apparent reason. It just happens. You feel empty, and you feel hopeless. And you just feel tired. As if you never want to move again. Then when someone asks you what's wrong, you can't say because there is nothing that comes to mind. Then you start thinking of what it could be, and you realize just how much is wrong. You know that feeling? Yeah, it sucks.

Wall Climbing

Sebelumnya, saya selalu tertarik ingin bergabung dengan MAKOPALA Universitas Budi Luhur. Selain sangat berprestasi, ukm yang satu ini selalu pamer kegiatan-kegiatan mereka yang super excited dan bikin ngiler seperti rafting, climbing, hiking etc *oh God!

Tetapi mereka yang terlalu menyayangi dan mengkhawatirkan saya melarang saya bergabung dengan kelompok pecinta alam yang mereka pahami sebagai aktivitas liar dan berbahaya. Padahal tentu tidak begitu.

Akhirnya, pada MAKOPALA fair 2012 ini  saya  berkesempatan mencoba salah satu kegiatan menarik mereka, yaitu wall climbing! Yippiee. Setelah memakai tali pengaman, dengan sangat bersemangat sekali saya langsung memanjat tanpa pemanasan akibatnya saya kelelahan dan setengah dari tinggi climb board pun saya tidak mampu mencapainya. Konyol sekali bukan? ahaha.

          

Dan setelah turun dari wall, lengan saya nyeri, ditambah kuku-kuku saya rusak, but its all worth it. Sangat menyenangkan, penuh perjuangan dan yang paling penting menghilangkan rasa penasaran saya. Saya pun menyadari, saya hanya perempuan biasa, menjadi pecinta alam dengan kegiatan yang super challenging itu ternyata masih terlalu ekstrim untuk tubuh saya yang (saya pikir) sudah cukup kuat ini haahaa.

Abdul And The Coffee Theory

Sedang tergila- gila dengan musik jazz ala abdul :D. Abdul berasal dari Medan dan bernama asli Tengku Muhammad Abdullah Amin Anshari. Abdul and the coffee theory Terdiri dari : 

Abdul - Vocal, Alex - Keyboard, Indra - Guitar 1,Wandi Bin Doang - Guitar 2, Andre Coople - Bass, Horas - Saxophone, dan Echa - Drum.

          

Lagu-lagu dengan genre musik yang lebih universal seperti jazz ringan, sentuhan blues, juga karakter vokal yang unik dari Abdul sang vokalis, merubah semuanya dari segala sisi.

Album LOVABLE dari Abdul and The Coffee Theory ini sangat kental dengan sentuhan Pop Jazzy yang ringan lengkap dengan lirik sederhana dan sangat jujur yang pastinya akan lebih mudah meyentuh hati orang yang mendengarkan.

Band ini bernama “Abdul & The Coffee Theory” berirama jazz yang kental, judul albumnya berjudul “Lovable”.
